Vasili Kazachok

The area around Horodna are rich in high-quality clay and the village is famous for unique ceramic products, present in the expo in Warsaw, Cracor or Vilnus. It’s been a famous pottery centre since the 15th century. Vasili Kazachok, who learned the craft from his father, has grown up in this environment. The artist has an excellent command of all techniques characteristic for local pottery.  Since 2016, he’s been the director of the pottery centre in the village of Horodna. He took part in several  international outdoor pottery workshops in Russia and Belarus. He takes part in many local exhibitions and festivals. He’s been a member of the Belarusian Folk Artists’ Association  since 2020.
