Tetiana Chekh
Tetiana comes from Opishnya in Poltava. It is an important point on the pottery map of Ukraine, a centre with centuries-old pottery traditions. At the turn of 19th and 20th century, it had around 1000 active potters and their products “travelled” to nearly all continents. Currently, there is a National Museum of Ukrainian Pottery on the site.
Tetiana learned pottery in an art school. She uses the potter’s wheel but also manually makes figurines and whistles.
