Tadeusz makes regional birds, scultpures and toys inspired by the 200-year-old tradition of Stryszawa toys. He has been interested in folk crafts since childhood, he has learned the skills, techniques and patterns from his parents. All toys are hand-made and approved by the National Artistic and Ethnographic Commssion in Cracow.
Tadeusz Leśniak has won many awards, including the award of the Folk Artists’ Association in Lublin – 1994, Cepelia Foundation in Warsaw – 1997 and the award of the Regional Cultural Centre in Bielsko Biała – 2001. He teaches his skills to students during Creative Workshops in Stryszawa. He is a member of Folk Artists’ Association.
