Lucyna Kędzierska
Lucyna Kędzierska has been specialising in double-warp weaving since her childhood. It is a family tradition she has inherite from her grandmother and mother. Lucyna has been a member of Folk Artists’ Association since 1985. In the years 2004-2009 she was the vice chairperson of the Białystock branch of the Association. Lucyna creates wonderful compositions related to the daily life of villages and rituals. Her stall features rugs, makatka tapestries, runners, bags and pillows. Lucyna has won many awards and her works have been features in museums in Białystok, Lublin, Toruń, Warsaw and Cracow. They are also included in private collections. Lucyna’s work is also known in Japan, where she ran double-warp weaving workshops.
