Jadwiga Bołka has been specialising in her craft since the 1980s. She learned the art from artists in Pałuki snd she has passed on her knowledge and skills to children. Together with daughter Małgorzata, she makes pająki from Pałuki, flowers, twigs and wreaths from crepe paper. She also makes straw bouquets. The ladies find inspiration, among others, in exhibits collected in the Ethnographic Museum in Toruń. They are members of Folk Artists’ Associaion. They have won Contests of Pałuk Folk Art, which take place in Szubin.
