Ilona Ruschak

Ms Ilona comes from Carpathian Ruthenia and makes items from cornhusk. She learned her skills as a child, they were passed on to her by her grandmother  and she has been developing them since she was 7 years old. Aside from bags and hats, she also makes beautiful cornhusk dolls.  She has taken part in many exhibitions, including in Prague, kiev, Brussels etc. She is a member of the Ukrainian Folk Artists’ Association.
