Halina Kaszewska

Embroidery and Lacework

Halina Kaszewska comes from a family of folk artists. Her father, Walenty Berent was a sculptor. Halina has been dedicated to her art since 1984. She specializes in the embroidery from Pałuk region, creating head caps from tulle, ruffs, chemises, aprons and shirts. She decorates her products with whitework embroidery which she makes according to her won compositions preserving traditional patterns and motifs from Pałuk region. Since 1989, she’s been a member of Folk Artists’ Association. She has won many awards in Pałuk Folk Art Contest.
