Edit Hidvégi Juhászné

Edit Hidvégi Juhászné makes ginngerbreads charateristic for central and southern Hungary. She decorates them with frosting made with egg white and sugar.  Most often she uses traditional Hungarian motifs of flowers, birds or hearts. Some of the gingerbreads contain dry fruit. Edit is a teacher who wants to pass on local traditions to her students. But before it could happen, she took part in classes organised in the School of Traditional Folk Art in Békéscsaba, where she began her adventure with gingerbreads. She is a member of the Hungarian Folk Artists’ Association.
