Crafts Fair is an important and noticeable part of the Jagiellonian Fair. At the stalls scattered around the streets of the Old Town and Śródmieście city centre, you can meet folk artists from Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Hungary and Slovakia. They present and sell their products but also show you how they make their items. It’s an excellent opportunity to shop for unique articles and to talk to the artists. Every year, they are visited by members of a selection board that awards chosen artists the title of “The Distinguished Artist of The Jagiellonian Fair”. The jury evaluates the artistry of the presented crafts and their conformity to traditional patterns and techniques of making them. This is one of the factors contributing to the quality of works presented at the Fair. Traditional bands performing in the streets will accompany Crafts Fair. Over three festival days, we will hear Kapela Butrynów, Kapela Mała Ziemia Suska, Babiogórska Kapela Zespołu Regionalnego JUZYNA, Przodki or Kanka Franka.
