Musicians from Radzięcin and Jędrzejówka
Radzięcin and Jędrzejówka are located in the western, the most mountainous part of Roztocze. Until 50s and 60s, they used to be filled with music, song and dance. Here and in the vicinity lived at least 20 successful fiddlers, numerous clarinetists , accordionists as well as many excellent singers and female singers, plus brass orchestras in existence since before the war.
The editors of the Roztocze encyclopedia MuzykaRoztocza.pl have been visiting the musicians and their descendants, collecting old photography, anecdotes and memories.
The exhibition presents archival photos of musicians from Radzięcin and Jędrzejówka, including many that were taken in the 30s and 40s.
The exhibition is accompanied by a meeting, to take place on 13 August at 16:00-17:30 in the Union Room in the Dominican Monastery, Złota 9.
