Michał Greim’s People of Podolia
An exhibition from the collections of The Seweryn Udziela Museum of Ethnography in Cracow showcases the oeuvre of the exquisite photographer Michał Greim who has been overlooked for many years. He gained recognition as an excellent photographer owing to his artistic photos of landscapes, monuments and people from Podolia and Bessarabia. Greim counts among some of the more interesting Polish photographers of the 19th century. As a documentalist and artisan he became a renowned artist only thanks to his own talent and his photography began to show traces of psychological portrait. The world he depicted is long gone, making his work all the more valuable.
Official opening: 12.08.2016, 19:00
The outdoor exhibition will stay until the end of August.
