



Stanisław Brach
Born in 1972 in Gorlice, Poland, Professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Since 2010, he has been the head of the Studio of Ceramics at the Faculty of Sculpture in the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, class of Prof. Marian Konieczny (2000). He is also a graduate of the School of Ceramics in Łysa Góra (1987–1993). In 2014, he was awarded the postdoctoral degree of doctor habilitatus in fine arts at the Academy in Cracow . He is a laureate of the 2011 Rector’s Award at his alma mater. In 2014, he obtained the art grant of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the project “Two Spaces”. He received the Recommendation Prize at the Taiwan Ceramics Biennale 2016, and his project “Flowing with Honey” earned him a gold medal at the 45th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress in Istanbul, Turkey in 2017.
Stanisław Brach has organised dozens of solo and group exhibitions, and participated in a number of plein-air projects and international competitions, among others in Italy, Japan and Taiwan.
The artist’s works are gathered in the Museum of Contemporary Sculpture of the Centre of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, the New Taipei City Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan and the Art Palace in Lviv as well as in private collections.
