“Wziołowstąpienie” // Herbascension is a comedy about life, well-being and … death, about local magic from Podlaskie and about natural medicine, about herbs, herbalists, whisperers, spells….

The play presents scenes from the lives of five friends spanning from childhood to old age, against the backdrop of modern Podlaskie realities – from the 60s of 20th century until today. Situational comedy, verbal comedy, absurd and grotesque are interwoven with reflections on the meaning of life and its passage. The comical effects are strengthened by crude dialogues spoken in dialect of Podlasie.

The play is fast-paced, rythmical, dynamic, varied in terms of music and chorepgraphy. During the play, the actors change characterization and costumes several times. Carefully prepared, original scenography is complete with multimedia visualizations.

The play is for adults only.
