The Jagiellonian Fair Dance Party

When the  fair’s hustle and bustle  calms down and day gives way to night, the fair’s attractions  do not end. On the contrary, for many the most important part of the programme only beings, that is the Jagiellonian Fair Dance Party.

Crisp evening air gently caresses   our faces, above the wooden dais swing colourful bulbs  and the bands play lively tunes.  This is the context in which our cares disappear, everyday reality falls into oblivion and what remains is the joy  of dancing.  Obereks, kujawiaks, polkas, waltzes, walked dances, processional dances – they will all appear during our dance evenings. And it does not matter whether you are an expert on  or a newbie to traditional dances. What matters are your will and enthusiasm, what matters is dance alone!

This year, we will dance to the tunes played by the Jagiellonian Fair Orchestra,
Kapela Dobrzeliniacy and Maria Stępień, Zawołany Skład Weselny Band,  Tęgie Chłopy Band,  Marcin Lorenc Trio, The Brass Orchestra from Goraj, Jan Wochniak Band, Kapela Pauli Kinaszewskiej, Kapela Eugeniusza Skrzypka from Zdziłowice.
